The year 2025 marked two special milestones in the Bern design scene: the Berner Design Stiftung celebrated its 30th anniversary, and the Berner Design Preis was awarded for the eleventh time. A double reason to celebrate and an invitation to showcase design at its best.
For the exhibition BESTFORM 2025 (28.3.–27.4.2025), designer Lisa Ochsenbein developed a modular exhibition concept that combines sustainability and innovation. The exhibition furniture is made from natural-based materials: 3D-printed clay bricks, flax panels, glass holders made from 3D-printed reclaimed wood, and linoleum surfaces for presenting the works. Everything follows the principle of circularity, leaves minimal traces in nature, and sets a powerful statement for future-proof design.
At Bienvenue Studios, we took this concept for the exhibition graphics and translated it into a visual language that celebrates the themes of growth, transformation, and sustainability. The graphics unfold like a blossom: slowly, vividly, and with a firework-like dynamism that solemnly underscores the anniversary. The design plays with plant forms, a subtle 3D effect, and a three-part composition that is reflected in the exhibition elements. Part of this also includes the negative of the stencils made from the natural materials of the exhibition – a fine interplay of abstraction and organic movement.
This creates a harmonious overall picture in which concept, material, and graphics seamlessly combine – a strong statement for sustainable design.
