Art Print Origins N° 1

They seem like small creatures from an alien world: mysterious, enigmatic, and at first glance barely recognizable for what they are. Seeds.

Magnified, they reveal a world that usually remains hidden. Fine structures, unusual shapes, and surfaces that are more reminiscent of small sculptures than the beginning of a plant. Yet these tiny forms already carry within them the potential for something incomparably larger. Under the right conditions, a plant begins to grow from a seed: a flower, a shrub, or perhaps a massive tree that will endure for decades or even centuries.

For "Origins," we photographed seeds from the collection of Jonas Frei of Atelier Foifacht. Through extreme magnification, they become independent forms and reveal an aesthetic that is easily overlooked in everyday life.

"Origins" shows the beginning of something great in its smallest form: seeds as mysterious objects and as the starting point for new life. Small enough to hold in your hand, yet with the potential to produce something that can outlast generations.
