Large-format art print Mountain Treasures

From the outside, they may look like ordinary stones. Only a cut reveals what has been hidden inside for millions of years: layers of minerals, vibrant colors, fine lines, and sometimes entire crystal landscapes. A stone can hold an entire world within itself.

Many of these structures form in cavities within the rock. Mineral-rich liquids penetrate small cracks and hollows, depositing new minerals layer by layer over long periods of time. This is how the characteristic bands and patterns of agates are created. The shapes and colors that develop depend, among other factors, on the composition of the minerals and the conditions during their formation.

Only through cutting and polishing does this hidden world become visible. Each cross-section tells its own geological story. Sometimes it resembles a landscape, sometimes an abstract drawing.

"Mountain Treasures" showcases these hidden inner worlds: images born of minerals, water, and time, shaped by the slow forces of the earth.

The large-format, limited-edition art prints are hand-screenprinted in Zurich. The colors are applied individually and carefully printed on top of one another, creating intense hues, fine layering, and a unique depth and luminosity.
